Ms. Nikola Kovacikova is an Associate Legal Officer in the Secretariat of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and services the Working Group III on Investor-State Dispute Settlement Reform.
Before joining the United Nations in 2018, (the General Legal Division, Office of Legal Affairs in New York), Nikola Kovacikova served in the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the National Council of the Slovak Republic.
A Slovak national, Nikola holds Juris Doctor degree from Comenius University in Bratislava and Doctor of Philosophy degree from Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica and successfully finished 2-year legal study program specialized on English common law system and European Union law organized by the University of Cambridge – British Law Center.
