Nicholas is a multi-jurisdictional lawyer specialising in the infrastructure and energy sectors. He has extensive experience advising contractors, sub-contractors and consultants in a range of sectors across Asia, the Middle East and Africa. He leads teams in actively advising clients at all stages of the procurement and construction process and through to acting in international commercial arbitration proceedings. Nicholas has advised clients in international commercial arbitration proceedings and alternative dispute resolution under the HKIAC, DIAC, ICC, SIAC, and QICC Rules.
Nicholas has extensive practical knowledge of the construction industry gained through working for Main Contractors and Consultants as a quantity surveyor for 10 years prior to qualifying as a solicitor. Nicholas’ legal, and previous construction experience, enables him to provide practical legal advice to all stakeholders prior, during and at conclusion of the construction process as well as in domestic and international commercial arbitration proceedings, litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
Nicholas is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the immediate past chairman of CIArb East Asia Branch.
