Mr. Neil NuCup is currently the Head of the Representative Office of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in Vietnam. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of the Philippines, a master’s degree in law from Leiden University and currently holds a doctorate in law from the University of the Philippines. At PCA, he holds the position of legal advisor and most recently, from May 2022, he holds the position of Head of PCA Representative Office in Vietnam. He provides direct assistance to the arbitral tribunal and the parties to the PCA proceedings; assistance with PCA services in matters filed under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.
Neil Nucup has a background in law and has worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Supreme Court of the Philippines and as a Professorial Lecturer at the University of Asia and the Pacific, Institute of Law. He has also worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Eric De Brabandere at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies and for Professor Hugh Thirlway
