A great number of Vietnamese young practitioners and law students have been very much interested in alternative dispute resolution in general and arbitration in particular. This is evidenced by the vast number of moot competitions held in Vietnam over the last few years. Against that background, it is also an unfortunate fact that the law of arbitration is not a compulsory subject in Vietnamese law schools. Some law schools even do not offer this subject. This reality has obviously contributed to causing certain confusions for Vietnamese young practitioners and law students in formulating an appropriate approach in building their careers in arbitration. Thus, it will be important and meaningful for experienced practitioners to share their lessons and experiences with young generation to assist them to develop a career in arbitration.
The speakers, Nguyen Manh Dzung, Cam Tu Vo Nguyen, Hang Vu, Duong Hoang, and Hieu Nguyen (as the moderator) will give a talk about how to develop a career in arbitration to young practitioners and law students. The general theme of the talk is that they will first introduce the development of arbitration globally and in Vietnam. They will then share their lessons and experiences from different perspectives to help young generation have a clear picture about detailed work in arbitration. Finally, they will be answering questions from the audience.
